On Saturday, representatives from the Green Island, Watervliet, and Cohoes Police and Fire Departments, along with personnel from the Watervliet Arsenal and Heatly Staff, united for an unforgettable basketball event, raising funds for the American Heart Association in memory of Izayah Avery who was a 7th grader at Heatly.
Congratulations to the champions! The combined Watervliet/Green Island Police and Fire Departments took home the title, but the real victory was the overwhelming support from our amazing community.
Together, we raised over $1,600 to honor Izayah’s memory and support heart health awareness.
A huge thank you to everyone who played cheered, and contributed to making this event such a success!
