Summer Enrichment Information

It’s almost the end of the school year, which means summer is just around the corner!

We’re excited to announce that Green Island UFSD will be partnering with the Village of Green Island Parks & Recreation Department this year to provide a comprehensive summer enrichment program for Heatly elementary students (grades K-6).

The collaborative program will run July 5 to August 15 from 8:00AM to 2:00PM and features targeted academic skill development, engaging activities and fun games. Students will be divided into small groups so Heatly faculty can provide personalized instruction based on individual student skill levels. Activities will be designed to apply concepts, promote curiosity and actively engage students to help them discover their passion for learning. Breakfast and lunch will also be included.

Students will transition to the park at 10:30AM for supervised activities and games provided by Heatly faculty and Village Park staff. Lunch will be served at 11:30AM in the park.

Dismissal from the formal program will be at 2:00PM (or earlier based on personal circumstances). Students are welcome to stay at the park with permission from a parent or guardian until 5:00PM; after that time, there will be no staff on site. Please note that the Village of Green Island’s summer program is different from Heatly’s in that it’s a structured drop-in program with no formal registration, curriculum or supervised drop off/pick up. The Village’s program also begins on June 26 and runs through August 24 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM (lunch included).

The goal of this partnership is to focus on individual student needs while providing a safe and fun environment for all students to enjoy this summer. Register your child for the program by completing this Google Form
