Dear Heatly Community,
We are writing to inform you that Superintendent Kim Ross has announced she will be leaving the school district. She has accepted the position of Superintendent of the Duanesburg Central School District, effective July 1, 2024. On behalf of the board, I would like to express my appreciation for the time and energy Kim has given to our school community. We are grateful for her leadership and wish her the best.
It is important to the board that we maintain a continuity of leadership during this time and as we look ahead to the next school year. Under Kim’s guidance, much has been accomplished in recent years, and it is critical we continue the important work toward academic excellence for every Heatly student.
As you may already know, Kim is currently out on medical leave, and Assistant Superintendent Dan Kalbfliesh is serving as Acting Superintendent. In the coming weeks, the board will meet to discuss next steps and, as always, we remain committed to a high-level of communication and transparency with our community.
