On Thursday, Feb 15, Green Island UFSD students were inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society. These inductions are a significant accomplishment.
The society’s four pillars consist of the following:
Scholarship: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 85 or higher
Service: Students must voluntarily contribute to the school or community without compensation.
Leadership: Students must exhibit leadership skills such as resourcefulness, good problem solving, and idea contributions. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others.
Character: Students must have good character and exhibit skills such as being cooperative, have high standards of honesty and reliability, courtesy, concern, and respect for others, and must maintain a clean disciplinary record.
