I am writing to let you know about a recent development regarding our principal, Dr. Mario Fernandez.
As of Monday, August 21, Dr. Fernandez has been placed on administrative leave from his role as principal. While we understand the importance of the principal’s role in our school community, please rest assured that the leadership team at Green Island UFSD has stepped in to manage and share the responsibilities during this period. We are confident that this transition will not disrupt the smooth operation of our school, especially as we approach the upcoming opening day and the subsequent weeks.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate through this change. We will communicate our long-term plans with you soon.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the start of the school year and can’t wait to welcome you all on Thursday, September 7th, at 8:05 AM.
